Manufacture is typically two to four weeks depending on finish and complexity, plus installation. Lacquered and veneered items take longer than melamine.
Moisture-resistant board with quality edge banding is the sensible default here. Veneer and lacquer suit feature pieces; melamine and laminate are practical and cost-effective for large runs.
