Pool leak detection and repair.
Pool leak detection Dubai starts by proving there is a leak at all — in a Dubai summer, evaporation alone accounts for a surprising amount of water loss.
Evaporation or leak — establish that first
Owners regularly call about a pool losing water that turns out to be evaporating normally. A 24-hour bucket test settles it: a bucket of pool water on the steps loses water at the evaporation rate, and any additional drop in the pool itself is a genuine leak.
Once a leak is confirmed, the search is systematic — isolate and pressure-test the suction and return lines, inspect skimmer throats, returns and light niches, then examine the shell. Digging or breaking anything before that sequence is guesswork.
What leak detection covers
Diagnosis, then a priced repair.Bucket test
Establishing whether loss exceeds normal evaporation before any invasive work.
Line pressure testing
Isolating suction and return lines and pressurising them to find breaks in buried pipework.
Fitting inspection
Skimmer throats, returns, main drains and light niches — the most common leak points in older pools.
Shell inspection
Checking for structural cracks, spalling and failed junctions in the concrete.
Dye testing
Confirming suspected points precisely before committing to a repair.
Pipework repair
Excavating and replacing failed sections, or rerouting where the original run is unserviceable.
Structural repair
Crack repair, reinforcement treatment and localised re-tanking.
Written findings
A report of what was tested, what was found and what the repair involves.

How diagnosis runs
Bucket test
Run over 24 hours to separate evaporation from a real leak.
Line testing
Suction and return lines isolated and pressure tested.
Fitting and shell inspection
Skimmers, returns, niches and shell examined, with dye testing where needed.
Findings and quotation
A written result and a priced repair scope.
Repair and retest
Repair carried out and the pool retested to confirm it holds.
Before you call anyone, run a 24-hour bucket test — we will tell you how.

In peak summer, evaporation alone can account for a noticeable daily drop, especially in exposed or windy locations. A bucket test is the only way to separate normal loss from a leak.
Skimmer throats, return fittings, light niches and buried pipework joints come up most often. Structural cracks in the shell are less common but more serious.
Not to find it. Pressure testing narrows the location first, so any excavation is targeted rather than exploratory.
Usually, in the short term, but continued loss washes out ground around the shell and undermines paving. It should not be left through a full season.
Almost always, unless the shell has failed structurally. Repair plus a retile is normally far cheaper than demolition and rebuilding.
